Bitmain's first Alephium machine, running the Blake3 algorithm at 16.6 TH/s for 3500W, or 211 J/TH. Alephium is a small chain, so the case for the AL1 rests on taking a meaningful share of a network few ASICs target rather than on raw efficiency. A 211 J/TH figure would be dire on SHA-256 but is normal for Blake3 hardware, and the two numbers are not comparable. Cooling is air, in Bitmain's usual four-fan chassis, and the 3500W draw means 220-240V and a circuit sized for it. Anyone considering one should look at ALPH liquidity and network hashrate growth first, since a thin market and a fast difficulty climb hurt single-coin ASICs far more than they hurt a Bitcoin miner. Confirm which AL1 variant you are ordering before you commit.
