Bitmain's first Kadena machine, running Blake2S at 166 TH/s for 3154W, an efficiency of 19 J/TH. Kadena is a braided proof-of-work chain, and the KA3 was the hardware that moved mining on it from GPUs to serious ASIC capacity. On paper 19 J/TH looks excellent, but Blake2S joules per terahash are not comparable to SHA-256 joules per terahash, so do not read this as flagship Bitcoin miner territory. Air cooling with four fans, a wide input voltage range, and a 3154W draw that needs a properly rated circuit. The current price reflects where KDA sits rather than any problem with the hardware. Reasonable if you want cheap terahash on a less crowded algorithm and are content to hold KDA, less sensible if you need predictable revenue.

Preferred over more expensive options
I actually prefer my Antminer KA3 over more expensive options I've tried. Better value, similar performance, and MinerHaolan's support is superior.
